Tooled Leather • Statement Buckle • Handmade in Argentina
A coral leather jean belt with an ornate studded oval buckle.
The Hinoki Journal
The buckle is the reason.
A heavy antiqued oval, ringed with rows of small round studs — the kind of hardware that turns a plain pair of jeans into an outfit without any further effort. The strap underneath is coral leather with a subtle tooled pattern pressed into the surface, and it's built from two layers of hide bonded together, which is why it has real body and sits flat through the loops instead of curling. Vegetable-tanned Argentinian leather, made by hand.
Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki
Coral is an unexpected color for a belt and it works far harder than it sounds like it should — warm enough to sit with rust and brown, bright enough to lift denim and white. Statement buckles are usually cheap-looking; this one isn't.

✦ Amy's Styling Tip
Straight denim and a plain tee — that's the whole outfit, and the belt does the rest. It also looks wonderful over white in summer, which is the version I'd photograph.
Hinoki Care Suggestions
Wipe clean with a dry cloth and condition occasionally. Polish the buckle with a soft cloth.
About the Maker
ADA Collection makes leather belts by hand in Argentina, using vegetable-tanned, chromium-free hides.
We were drawn to ADA because a well-made belt outlasts almost everything else in a wardrobe. It's exactly the kind of quiet, made-to-last piece we love bringing to our Foragers.
