The hem is stepped at the sides — shorter at the front, dropping longer at the back — so the jacket sits open and easy rather than boxy, and it moves when you walk. Cut oversized through the body and shoulder, in a warm brown that goes with every other autumn color in your closet: cream, rust, olive, denim.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

Brown is the most useful jacket color there is and almost nobody makes it well. The stepped hem gives this one a shape that plain chore jackets don't have.
