Tropical without the sugar.

Coconut is usually done badly — sunscreen-sweet, all top note and no depth. This one is coconut milk rather than coconut, with pineapple and violet over a base of vanilla, sandalwood and musk, so it comes out creamy and warm instead of candied. Dropped into hot water it fizzes slowly, releasing epsom salts along with olive and soybean oil, so the water is softened and your skin comes out of it lightly scented rather than stripped.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

Handmade in Charleston from ingredients you can pronounce, and the rare tropical scent that works in February as well as July.

Run the bath first and drop it in once the tub is full — it fizzes out faster under a running tap and you lose half the scent to the steam.
