ABOUT DESIGUAL

Thomas Meyer created Desigual in 1984, in the Barcelona neighbourhood of El Raval, when he designed a jacket that is now considered one of the fashion sector's first ever upcycled products. Then filmmaker Isabel Coixet whispered a word, "Desigual", and accompanied it with the motto "no es lo mismo" ("it's not the same").

At Desigual, we are aware that our operations have a direct impact on the environment and we advocate a conscious and responsible way of acting. We want to grow sustainably and consistently, while always taking people and the environment into account.

As part of our commitment to sustainable development, we have identified three of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are directly linked to our initiatives: Gender Equality, Responsible Consumption and Production and Climate action.
