Artful • Storytelling • Effortlessly Bohemian
Cropped artist pants printed with antique Delft tile artwork.

The Hinoki Journal

Some prints are just patterns. This one is a piece of art history you can wear.

Cut from a natural blend of linen and viscose, these Artist Pants feature a drawstring front, elastic waist back panel, side pockets, cropped length, and a flattering lantern hem. Inspired by poet Leonard Cohen's line, "There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in," the print celebrates imperfection using pieces of Delft tile from the 1700s, including two Italianate landscape scenes, alongside trim patterns pulled from an 1867 British ornamentation book and a 1780 Dutch earthenware plaque.

It's a print built from real history, layered into something wholly new.
