Hinoki is Japanese cypress, a pale, straight-grained wood used for bathhouses and temple beams because of the way it smells when it meets water. This fragrance balances that soft, indigenous wood with water notes, then lets waterlily and sweet cherry blossom drift over the top. The lightest top note of yuzu brightens the whole blend and brings it to life. It wears like clean skin rather than perfume: feminine, quiet, and close to the body.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

The name caught our attention; the blend is why it stayed. It's beautifully made, comes in recycled packaging, and once you've tried the travel size, the 50 mL is the bottle you'll want on your dresser.
