A hand-carved basswood whale figurine.

The Hinoki Journal

Some small objects bring the ocean indoors, and this whale is exactly that.

Skillfully hand-carved from natural basswood with a simple, elegant design, each whale shows off the unique beauty of the wood grain, and slight variations make every piece one of a kind.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

We love a figurine with real coastal charm, and this whale delivers exactly that. A simple silhouette, natural basswood, effortlessly sweet.
