Colorful • One of a Kind • Full of Story
A kantha scarf made from recycled cotton saris.
The Hinoki Journal
Some scarves carry real history in every stitch, and this one is exactly that.
The 100% cotton and lovely colors truly make this the scarf for every season. Made in India from recycled saris, fabrics are pieced together and stitched by hand with a running stitch called a kantha stitch. Both sides carry different colors and patterns, and each scarf is entirely unique. Because these are made from recycled saris, you may find some fading, repairs, spots, or other signs of use, which we consider part of the character and story.
Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki
We love a scarf with genuine handmade history, and this piece delivers exactly that. Recycled sari fabric, hand stitched, genuinely one of a kind.

About the Maker
Seeds was founded by Sonja Swenson, who built a jewelry and bead business into a mission of repurposing materials and empowering artisans, eventually partnering with communities in Haiti.
We were drawn to Seeds because their pieces carry genuine story and repurposed craft. It's exactly the kind of meaningful find we love bringing to our Foragers.
