The zip doesn't stop at the waist. That's the whole thing.

It runs the entire length of the dress, neckline to hem, finishing in a slit at the front — a bright metal line straight down a solid field of colour, and the only ornament the dress needs. Everything else is shape: a notched neck, ruffled flutters standing off the shoulder, and a wide band of smocking that draws the waist in before the skirt gathers away from it. The poplin is crisp enough to hold all of that upright, which is why the silhouette reads structured rather than soft.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

Because it's a solid-colour dress that doesn't need a print to be interesting. The lime is a true chartreuse and behaves like a colour, not a neutral — we bought it for the customer who's tired of florals but doesn't want black.
