Look twice at the branches. There are birds in there.

The print is drawn rather than filled — blossoms and vines rendered in outline, blush and white over black, with small birds tucked into the vines for anyone paying attention. It reads graphic from across a room and softens the closer you get. The trim is the surprise: a natural straw-toned braid that rings the neck and continues down both armholes, and that warm cord against all that black is exactly what keeps the dress from tipping formal. It falls straight from the yoke in a soft woven that moves with the air.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

This is a last-week-of-the-trip dress — sandy feet, salt in your hair, dinner outside. Black usually means evening, and we loved that the braid quietly refuses to let it.
