Graphic • Handmade • Quietly Striking
A close-cropped owl sketch printed edge to edge on a small accent cover.

The Hinoki Journal

Cropped close enough that you meet its eye.

The drawing is all fine pen strokes — feathers rendered in short black marks against warm cream, the beak in heavier line — and it's been blown up and cropped so tightly that the face runs past all four edges. What stops it reading as pure black and white is the eye: a ring of amber and burnt orange, the only color anywhere on the cover, and the reason the whole thing holds a room. The back is plain light beige, so it can be turned around when you want the quiet side.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

Handmade in America, sewn with a concealed zipper and reinforced ends, in a print that's genuinely good rather than merely decorative. At twelve inches it's a small commitment for something with this much presence.

Features

  • Owl sketch print, full bleed to the edges
  • Plain light beige reverse
  • Concealed zipper with reinforced ends
  • Handmade in America

Details

  • Front: black and cream owl sketch with amber eye
  • Back: light beige
  • Size: 12" x 12"
  • Fabric: Woven cotton-polyester blend
  • Cover only

✦ Amy's Styling Tip

This one wants space around it — a single chair, a bench by the door, or the outermost pillow on a bed where nothing else is competing. Against natural linen or dark leather it looks like a framed print you can lean on.

Hinoki Care Suggestions

Spot clean or hand wash, do not bleach. Lay flat or hang to dry. Touch up with a warm iron over a damp press cloth if needed.
