Hand-Drawn • Lived-In • Easy Attitude
A cropped tee with a herd of horses and a wash that did the aging for you.
The Hinoki Journal
Some pieces try to look vintage. This one just is.
The Painted Horses Tee pairs a hand-drawn horse illustration with a mineral wash in soft charcoal, then adds distressed detailing at the neckline, cuffs, and hem. The fraying is intentional and it is what gives the tee its character, so the piece arrives already broken in rather than waiting for you to do it.
The cropped length and drop shoulder keep the shape loose up top while sitting right at the high waist of a denim or a linen trouser. It is a cut that works without much thought.
An easy piece with just enough edge to feel like your own.
Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki
The drawing on this one won us over. It has a real hand to it, loose and a little imperfect, and paired with the distressing it reads as genuinely collected instead of manufactured to look that way.
Features
- Vintage-style hand-drawn horses graphic print
- Mineral-washed finish
- Round neckline
- Short sleeves with drop shoulder
- Distressed detailing at neckline, cuffs, and hem
- Cropped length
- Loose fit
Details
- Mineral wash with a soft hand feel
- Cropped through the body
- Shown in Charcoal
Hinoki Fit Notes
Loose through the shoulder with a true cropped length. Take your usual size. Our model is 5'9" and wears a size Small for reference.
✦ Amy's Styling Tip
I wear this with high waisted wide leg denim so the crop lands exactly where it should, then add a stack of thin gold bracelets. The distressing means you never have to worry about it looking too precious.
Hinoki Care Suggestions
Machine wash cold, inside out, and hang to dry. The distressed edges are meant to soften further with wear, so skip the high heat and let them do their thing.
About the Brand
Promesa creates relaxed, easy-wearing pieces with a vintage sensibility, leaning on soft washes and hand-drawn graphics rather than loud branding.
We were drawn to Promesa because their pieces feel worn-in from the very first wear. That is exactly the kind of effortless we love bringing to our Foragers.
