Eyelet work lives or dies on its scale, and this one gets it right — the embroidery runs in wide panels down the front and out along the sleeve hems, open enough to read as detail from across a room rather than dissolving into texture.

The linen cotton blend is what makes the flutter sleeve fall beautifully, with enough body to hold that soft gathered shape at the shoulder and enough softness to move. The hem is scalloped and cropped just short, which is why it sits so easily over a high rise wide leg. In back, a keyhole slit. Cream, and best left cream. This is a piece that wants a denim or a linen to do the supporting lift!
