Leather • Adjustable • Handmade in Argentina
A cognac leather wrap belt, one size, tied however you like.

The Hinoki Journal

One belt, a dozen ways to wear it.

No buckle and no holes — just a long band of soft Argentinian leather you wrap and knot wherever it suits the outfit. Low on the hips over a dress, high at the natural waist over a knit, doubled at the front, or knotted off-center with the tails left to hang. Cognac is the shade that does the most work: warm enough to sit against cream and camel, deep enough to hold its own against black. Vegetable-tanned and made by hand, so it softens and darkens along the fold lines with wear.

Why It Found Its Way to Hinoki

The wrap belt is the accessory we recommend most often, because it fits everyone and fixes almost any silhouette — a shapeless dress, an oversized shirt, a coat that wants a waist. Cognac is the one to own first.

Features

  • Wrap silhouette, ties multiple ways
  • No buckle or holes — fully adjustable
  • Wears at the waist or the hip
  • Vegetable-tanned leather
  • Handmade by artisans in Argentina

Details

  • Color: Cognac
  • Material: Genuine Argentinian leather
  • One size, adjustable

✦ Amy's Styling Tip

Over a black shirtdress is the way I wear mine — cinched at the natural waist with the tails hanging long. It does more for a plain dress than any other single thing you can add.

Hinoki Care Suggestions

Wipe clean with a dry cloth and condition occasionally. The leather will darken where it folds, which is the point.

About the Maker

ADA Collection makes leather belts by hand in Argentina, using vegetable-tanned, chromium-free hides.

We were drawn to ADA because a well-made belt outlasts almost everything else in a wardrobe. It's exactly the kind of quiet, made-to-last piece we love bringing to our Foragers.
